Powerless follows the story of an aging inventor as he struggles to complete his latest project, a living mechanical man. Having all but given up, an unexpected sequence of events takes the inventor and his creation on a mysterious journey that will bring him renewed hope and anxiety in equal measure.

This is a short film produced by James Pavitt, Mathew Galley and Satwinder Dhariwal at the University of Hertfordshire. It featured at the University film day festival on the 2nd of June 2009, winning the graduate 3D film and audience choice awards. It was produced primarily with 3ds Max and Photoshop.
